Add a zoom video to an Instagram Reel, step by step

Zoom Buzz does not post to Instagram itself. It hands your rendered video to your phone's own share sheet, the same one every app on your phone uses, and Instagram is one of the apps in it. Here is exactly what happens at each step.

1. Render your zoom

Follow the how-to-create-a-zoom guide to shoot and upload your photos. For a Reel, hold the phone upright while you shoot, so Zoom Buzz renders a portrait video that fills the Instagram frame instead of leaving bars either side.

2. Press Share on your finished video

Once your zoom has rendered, the share button downloads the video file and opens your phone's native share sheet, the same list of apps you would see sharing a photo from your camera roll. This is a real device feature, not something built into Zoom Buzz: which apps appear, and whether Instagram is among them, is entirely up to your phone.

3. Watch the caption copy itself

At the same moment, Zoom Buzz copies a short caption, your zoom's title followed by the Zoom Buzz site address, to your clipboard. This happens automatically because of a real limit on the other side: Instagram does not accept caption text from any app sharing into it, on any phone, so no external share sheet can hand it one directly. Copying it to your clipboard is the only way to carry it across.

4. Pick Instagram from the share sheet

Tap Instagram in the share sheet. Your rendered video arrives in Instagram's own composer exactly as it would from any other app, ready for Instagram's own choice of Reel, Story or post.

5. Paste the caption

Tap into Instagram's caption field and paste. Your clipboard already holds the caption Zoom Buzz copied in step 3, so this is one tap, not retyping anything.

If your phone has no share sheet for video

Not every browser and device combination can hand a video file to a share sheet. When it cannot, download the video instead, exactly as the how-to-create-a-zoom guide describes, and add it to Instagram the way you would any other video already on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Does Zoom Buzz post to Instagram directly?
No. Zoom Buzz hands your video to your phone's own share sheet, the same one every app uses, and you pick Instagram from it. There is no separate Instagram integration to connect or authorise.
Why do I have to paste the caption myself?
Instagram does not accept caption text from any app sharing into it, on any phone. Zoom Buzz copies the caption to your clipboard at the same moment it opens the share sheet, so pasting it is one tap.
What if my phone has no share sheet for video files?
Download the video instead and upload it to Instagram the way you would any other video from your camera roll.
Can I add a zoom video to a Story instead of a Reel?
Yes. The share sheet hands Instagram your video file; whether it becomes a Reel, a Story or a post is Instagram's own choice, the same as sharing any other video into the app.
